Margarita Zuniga, BS

Resident Audiologist,

Doctor of Audiology Student Spring 2024

BS in Communicative Disorders, with a minor in Special Education

Margarita is originally from Northern California and relocated to the Los Angeles area to join the Hearing Associates Inc. Dr. O’Boyle hand picked Margarita to be part of our clinical team while completing her Audiology Doctorate clinical externship. She was chosen for her passion to serve, as well as her clinical experience and proven excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders, with a minor in Special Education from San Francisco State University. Margarita is due to graduate from San Jose State University (SJSU) with her Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) in May 2024. 

Margarita’s clinical experiences include University and Otolaryngology (ENT) clinics in the San Francisco Bay area, as well as the Palo Alto VA Medical Center. She has an interest in practicing collaborative care, treating patients like family, and providing innovative patient-centered hearing healthcare care. Margarita is bilingual in English and Spanish, and passionate about working with diverse populations to provide audiological services for all.

Margarita is a founding member and served as treasurer of the SJSU Student Audiology Association (SAA). She has research experience in the area of “Perceptions of Noise Exposure and Attitudes Toward Hearing Protection Among Working Hispanic Adults”.  She has been active in volunteer work, most recently with the Pacific Hearing Connection, the Listen to Me! Conference, Reading Partners, and the Support for Families of Children with Disabilities associations. 

Margarita has two dogs, Kiko and Stormi. She enjoys traveling, shopping, and binge-watching TV series.
